I thought this article in the NYTimes yesterday was interesting. The concept of eating with ones hands is definiteily a cultural tradition in many places, and I wouldn’t argue that it enhances both the taste of the food and the dining experience. But in modern day New York City, is it safe for people to be eating with their hands? Is the average New Yorker going to be willing to use their hands as utensils, potentially ruining their outfit or getting greasy food on their rings?
