Building Fashion with Formichetti

It’s been well speculated that Lady Gaga’s iconic looks pay homage to some of the greatest architectural feats in time. Intentionally or not, this collaboration will be purposefully planted in New York City this September, for one winner of Building Fashion 2011 will be paired with Nicola Formichetti, fashion director for Lady Gaga, as well as Creative Director for Mugler and fashion stylist to Uniqlo, MAC and V Magazine. The winner, Gage Clemenceau Architects, will be working with the fashion great to design a pop-up retail store on Walker St., which will open September 8th.

The Gage Clemenceau Architects are no stranger to great work. Their innovative Times Square exhibition drew thousands of tourists and brought some love to the overwhelming area, and their summer pavilion at PS1/MoMA was simply outstanding.
