Happy Birthday, Empire State Building! A pillar of New York City, and a testament to its success, the building turns 80 years old today while reminding us of a time of Art Deco, of growth and creativity, and the beginning of New York’s flourish. The Village Voice has compiled a great list of stats about this classic building, which has been featured in hundreds of movies and provided inspiration for the greatest artists and musicians of our time.
