Royal Wedding Madness

I started to regret writing this post as soon as I started. The last thing I want to do is add to the royal wedding madness that’s taking over the Internet. But it’s inevitable; the long-awaited grandiose event has been talked about for months.

What is it about the weddings that captivates us so? A glimpse at the royalty we read in stories? The time honored tradition and legacy? The haunting tragedy behind it all? For here in New York, the royal families are almost forgotten, leaving legacies in grand mansions and buildings they once called home. The New York Times was early in noting the royalty that lingers in the foundation of this city, and they deserve their attention, too.
