Purple Haze

Every August since I was thirteen years old, I have poured over the pages of every major fashion magazine looking at Fall fashion.  Now I also get to troll the websites of Net a Porter and Bergdorf Goodman, drooling over the latest trends and trying to decide how to allocate my shopping budget.

So far this season my favorite dress is the one above, from Marc Jacobs.  It is cinched at the waist with an exposed zipper; to me it is reminiscent of Vivienne Westwood.  Marc Jacobs has always had a touch of  ‘punk luxe’  in his collections.  We put the dress with these very hip and collectible 70’s mirrors from Neal Small that seem to be everywhere right now.

Staying with the purple theme, and hip fashion trends.  Is this a hot look or what?  This outfit from Marchesa is to die for. It is one of the looks that is inspiring me to work out everyday, so that I can fit into these pants. The mirror is Italian from the 40s; the frame is backlit and the flower surround is glass.  Love it!
