Classic Floorplan-39 Fifth Avenue

We recently sold a high floor apartment in this gorgeous lower Fifth Avenue building.  Floor Plans can be deceiving and it is hard to truly judge a space unless you are in it.  I must say I really fell in love with the proportions of the rooms of this apartment.  The foyer is very elegant and a perfect spot to pause.  You can see the living room windows from the entrance, which is always a plus.   On the original floor plan you could also enter the kitchen from the foyer.  This owner sealed off that door.  By doing so she added an additional closet, a larger kitchen, and a sense of formality to the entrance that I found very appealing.

One of the nicest features of all about living in a west facing apartment at 39 Fifth is the protected view, due to the two Churches on the east side of avenue.  You are looking at almost exactly the same street scape as the original person who lived there back in 1922.  A very rare thing in New York City.
